Line in Record @I0033@ (RIN 33) from GEDCOM file not recognized: _FA2 Jane (Jennie) had a twin brother, Jay A. Hendry. Jenne Hendry Hart was born in Sandusky in July 1862 and died at her home in Penfield, Decembe r 24, 1930 at the age of 68 years. she was the daughter of Judge Alonzo hendry, who served a s Probate Judge for many years in the City of Sandusky. Her mother was Jane Penfield bufor e her marriage, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Truman Penfield for whom the town of Penfield wa s named. Mrs. Penfield is said to have been the first white child born in this town. Mrs Ha rt's early years were spent in sandusky. In 1908, she was united in marriage to Mr. Jay Har t and for twenty-two years has been a kind and loving wife and step mother to the daughters o f the family. She leaves many friends to morn her loss. Of her immediate family, there rema ins her husband, Jay Hart, a baraother, Frank Hendry, of Detroit, her stepdaughters and famil ies, Mrs. Ed Ferriman and here, Mrs, Hubert Tice and Mrs. E.W. Newcomb of Florida, several ne phews and many other relatives. Our scrap book references are all from Sandusky. (The above was written by one A.D. Taylor sometime after 1944. He is a descendent of the Pen fields of Penfield, Elyria County, Ohio. It is not clear to whom whe was writing. This lett er may have been written James Rowley Hendry, father of Richard Abbott Hendry and Thomas Penf ield Hendry. I think I got the copy from Thomas Penfield Hendryin 1983 or 1984.
