On the 15th day of August 1848 she was united in marriage to A.W. Hendry of Sandusky to whic

As a child at home, the school teacher, the student, scholar, wife and mother she displayed t

Coming to this city the year before the great cholera scourge of 1849 her charitable sympathi
es soon found full scope in contributing to the wants of the needy and in finding suitable ho
mes of comfort for those who were orphans.
Coming to Sandusky when it was only a village she was permitted to live here one third of a c
entury and to witness it's increase in population to a city of many thousands and the great d
evelopment of its diversified industries.
She leaves a husband two daughters and three sons two of the latter settled in business one i

Mrs. Hendry during her residence here was a member of the Congregational Church and an activ
