Information from Bessie Minaker history - and Harold Hunter obituary clipping. Birth record lists him as 12th child of David D. and Sarah R. Jeffers. A.A. Eddy, M.D. of Cresco, Iowa was physician and filed report. Obituary lists children; Christian Wayne owned & operated Cresco Ice Co. and then was a farmer. He later purchased the Cresco Dray Line. They moved to Chicago from 1926 to 1935 (he worked as an operating engineer for a large bakery). They moved back to Cresco and he worked as a plasterer until he retired. Obituary of his sister, Sarah Lucinda Hunter Albertson, in 1936 states that Chris was in Cresco. 1991 - additional information regarding children and grandchildren from Mala Owens and Doris Bard (personal visit to Iowa). 1920 census: IA, Howard Co, Cresco, 425 2nd Ave West lists (in error) David D. Hunter (should be Christian) (38-IA-PA-PA) with Rosa R. (36-IA-Germany), Wayne I.orJ. 13-IA, Hazel 14-IA, Harold H. 11-IA, Lawrence 5-IA with David D. (father-86-PA-PA-PA) and Sarah (mother-80-IL-NY-OH).
