Notes

Line in Record @I0018@ (RIN 18) from GEDCOM file not recognized: _FA1 Line in Record @I0018@ (RIN 18) from GEDCOM file not recognized: _FA2 There is a lot of information on George and his children in Angola. Contact the Carnegie Public Library. In 1993, Ms. Constance B. Carroll was able to come up with a great number of references. The problem is that there are very few for Samuel Himself. It was one of his younger sons, Alonzo, who was my ancestor. Angola records should be gotten and "written" up for a Hendry history. The kind of information that is available in Angola is the stuff great history is made of. Andrew Hendry (1993) The dates birth and death dates for George Hendry are taken from Cemeteries of Steuben County Indiana by Audree Lewis, 1990. The History of Northeast Indiana, by Orville Stephens, published in 1920 says that George died in 1898, at the age of 86. It is probable that the Cemetery dates are the most accurate as George's birth date in 1804 is not in question. George Hendry was a blacksmith by trade. He came to Angola Indiana in 1836.
