Hi Rick, I was looking at the document attributed to Melvina Harper Sherwood and noticed tha t it was "Presented to the Historical Society by John Hall Sherwood youngest son of Zalmon an d Ellen Harper Sherwood. 2335 ÙX East 1st St Long Beach California". If you note on the famil y tree branch you prepared for me he was Horace Ackley Sherwoood's younger brother. So his bi rth date would be somewhere between 1855 an 1870 probably so the date you entered was wrong . You could add his middle name, Hall though. My mother says he was a musician and had no chi ldren she knew of. Of course, Ellen Harper Sherwood is the daughter of Melvina Harper Sherwoo d that links the Sherwood Family to the Harpers.
