This Manuscript is the grant for property for a Presbyterian Church in Harpersfield, New York. It partitions out 1 1/4 acres of Alexander's home Lot 82 in the town of Harpersfield for the people to erect a meeting house.
 
Transcription 
To all people to whom these presents shall come
greeting Know Ye that I Alexander Harper of Harpersfield
in the county of Otsego Esquire for the regard I have to
the cause and Intrest of Religion to the people of this place
and for the benefit of Posterity Do of my free will and Motion
Give Grant enfeoff convey and confirm to the Trustees
of the established Presbiterian Congregation in Harpersfield
and to their successors forever all that curtain tract or piece
of land lying and being in said Harpersfield Situate and
being part of Lot number eighty two in said Township
for the sole use and purpose of building a Meeting
house for religious public worship and the accomodation
of the said society and congregation at their public assembly
or Meeting for worship Butted and bounded as followeth
(viz) Begining at a Stake and heap of stones on the road
at the west corner of said lot number eighty two thence
running on the line of the Said lot South thirty degrees
east on the Magnetic needle pointed in the year one
thousand Seven hundred and Seventy one, Two chains
and an half to a Stake and Stone thence north Sixty
Degrees eighty two chains and an half to a Stake and Stones
thense north thirty degrees west two chains and an half to a
Stake and Stones on the road thence on the road South Sixty
degrees west two chains and an half to the place of beginning
containing half an Acre and half a quarter of land
to have and to hold the above granted Premises to them
the Said Trustees and their Successors forever for the Use
above Mentioned In Witness whereof I do for my Self
my Item Executors and Administraters to these presents
Set my hand and Seal this fifth day of July in the
year of our lord one thousand Seven hundred and
