1840 - This is the first census in which Martha Townsend appears. She is 4 years of age. Her father had moved to Euclid in the early 1830's and married Ana Maria (Chloe) Norris about 1833. 1850 - There are two enumerations of the family of A B Townsend - the first is in Cleveland - Ward 2 1860 - James Harper and Martha E Townsend were married. They had moved to Illinois for work, then back to Uniontown, Ohio in the late 1850's. 1870 - Leetonia, Ohio 1880 - Leetonia, Ohio 1890 - U S Census Records lost in fire 1900 - Leetonia, Ohio Martha was living with her two youngest children, Mable and Robert. This record is more difficult to see Martha's family. They are enumerated near the bottom and you can see Mable and Robert more easily. Martha's name us just above theirs. |
